A Visit to Harvard Square ハーバード・スクエアを訪問

Welcome to Harvard University! This is one of the many gates into the university. It is across from the Harvard Square subway station. The whole area is called Harvard Square.

Here is a view of the main area. The building behind the tree is the Harvard Coop. It is the university bookstore and giftshop. Along the streets are other small stores like Origins and Lush as well as cafes and some restaurants.

This is the view north from the station exit. Look at the clouds! It thundered and rained a lot a few minutes later.

Summer is here and so are the summer flowers. Aren't these lovely? They are dahlias, and they come in many colors.

Pink for Ladies and Gentlemen

You might miss Thomas Pink when walking on Washington Street. The window caught my eye with it's vivid color. It's a shirt shop from the UK with a selection for both genders. Cute logo!

A Little Card Shop

Copley Fair, a chain of card/gift shops, in the Financial District.
Boston is a mix of old colonial and modern buildings.
They have cards and lots of small gifts such as stuffed animals,
photo albums and balloons.

After a long winter, summer has finally arrived. These were outside an office building! Such a pleasant surprise in the urban environment.
