St. Leonard's Peace Garden

It's been a while since the last posting! My apologies for that.

I had a little vacation in New York City and around the Boston area. I have been sick with a cold as well - it's all the weather changes we have had. It's been cold and rainy, then sunny and warm, then back again.

I went for a walk in the North End a few weeks ago. I passed by St. Leonard's and their Peace Garden. It was such a lovely shot with the building and the tree color. St. Leonard's was built in 1873 and it was the first Catholic church built by the Italian immigrant community.

I hope everyone is well! I will keep posting.

Words cannot describe the feelings, emotions and reactions caused by the earthquake in the Tohoku region.

I hope that everyone is safe and secure. If anyone has family in the affected region, my prayers and hopes are for their safety and rescue.

Bye Bye Snow . . . For Now

The snow is finally melting! For now at least. We had a warm day, and it was good to feel the sun and a little warmth. Winter doesn't finish in Boston. Hopefully no more snow for the rest of winter.

More Snow

We keep getting snow! This is really unusual to have a lot of snow in a period of 3 to 4 weeks, but that is what has been happening. It snowed yesterday morning, and I went out to shovel the driveway to make room for my brother's car. I decided to take a couple of shots of my road.

We are supposed to get more this week again, this time another big storm! Ugh!

Would anyone like some snow? I can definitely send you some!

Snow in Post Office Square

I was in the city after the storm, and I decided to take some pictures of the snow. We have had 2 snow storms this year, each bringing lots of snow.

This is a shot of Sip Cafe, located right in the park at Post Office Square.

This is the park, filled with snow. In the summer, it is a good place to catch some sun, a coffee, lunch, or just a chat with friends.

More snow is on the way!

My Apologies

My apologies to everyone who has followed Boston Report! I was busy for the past several months, and I am ready to post again!

We have had lots of snow recently, so I plan on taking some pictures of snowy landscapes.

Are there other suggestions? Please let me know!

A Trip to Wilson Farm

I have heard about Wilson Farm in Lexington, so I decided to take a visit there. Very accessible by public transport, so that was good!

It was a wonderful day. Not a cloud in the sky. The farm had a lot of produce available. There was a store that was packed with people buying goodies. They also have a hayride that goes around the farm; there are Halloween displays along the route.

All in all, it was a great way to spend the afternoon!

Time Again for . . .

APPLE PICKING!

My family and I decided to go apple picking at my local farm today. We went early, but there were already lots of people.

The apple trees lost some of their apples from the heavy winds and rain we had last week. The ground was covered in parts with smashed apples.

Luckily, there were lots of apples left for us in a couple of sections. We got two big bags of apples!

End of Summer . . .

I took a walk through Boston Public Garden, which is the smaller of the two parks in Boston. I was happy to see it was still very green. The weather has gotten cooler recently, and some trees have started to change.

I also passed this ice cream truck! I haven't seen one in quite a while. They have slushes, cones, banana splits and other delectable ice cream goodies! Did I stop to get something? No - I was good!
