Boylston & Copley

On my way to the library, I took a picture of the Old South Church at the corner of Boylston and Dartmouth at Copley Square. Boston is full of churches of all denominations. This church was build in 1873, and it is now a National Historic Landmark.

On the same street is a mix of building styles. The Charlesmark Hotel is a boutique hotel, one of the many dotting the city.

Apple Picking

It was a really nice fall day. Not too cold with the sun out. The leaves have started to change into golds, oranges and reds. Most of the apples had been picked already or were damaged by rain storms earlier the week. I did manage to get a bag of nice apples. What should I make with them? Any suggestions?

A view of Beacon Hill in the late afternoon. The gold dome in the background is the State House,where the state legislature meets. Maybe a night one is next.

On Vacation

For those of you who were wondering why there was no posting for a while, it was because I was on vacation - not in Boston, but somewhere in the US. Can you guess where? There is no picture for you - it would give my vacation destination away!

Last Days of Summer

Summer is coming to an end, and so too are the Freedom Trail tours.I spotted this group outside the Park Street Church, across from the the Common. It was a nice day, not warm but not cold
either.
