On my way to Harvard Square Station, I took a different route. I thought this scene was so picturesque, I had to take it. The red brick buildings are Harvard University.

Sweet Harvard Square

I met a friend the other evening in Harvard Square. The area was really busy because Harvard University was having graduation this week. Lots of families around. I saw that there was a Sweet cupcake shop, so I had to check it out again!



We got the strawberry shortcake and the pink lemonade, which are seasonal cupcakes. They don't have them every day either. I didn't try the shortcake one, but I did love the pink lemonade one, especially the frosting!

I will be back for more!

Ice Cream Treat For You

I had to get some Asian groceries before going home the other day, so I decided to go to Central Square in Cambridge. On my way to the market, I spotted a cafe, Toscanini, and it had a sign that said COFFEE & ICE CREAM. I thought I would check it out.



I had a single scoop of saffron ice cream. It was really good. Not really sweet, and it was creamy with a light saffron flavor. Definitely need to check out the coffee menu the next time.

Summer is here

I decided to go to Newbury Street the other day. I thought I would stop at a cafe to get something to drink.



It was really busy, and there was no place to sit down. Oh well. Next time.

I had a bit of spare time a few weeks ago, so I decided to take a
walk in Fort Point. I had heard of this cafe, Flour, but didn't realize it was so close. I actually found it by accident!



The menus are all handwritten on the walls.



The staff are pretty friendly. It was about 5pm, and people were stopping by for take-out sandwiches or drinks.



For me, it was just a coffee. The next time, I will have to go there earlier.
