A view of the Charles River and Cambridge at dusk. It was really amazing. I could only get a glimpse of this before going home.

A Trip to Newport

I went down to Newport, Rhode Island for the day. The day started off cool, but then warmed up nicely.

It was really busy with tourists and students visiting the area. It is a historic town, famous for fishing and for the mansions.

I walked around the main part of the town.

Gardens

Another walk through Boston Public Gardens. The weather was warm, but there was a change in the air. Fall is coming. The days are getting shorter again.

As I walked over the bridge, I just had to take this picture. It looks like some of the leaves are changing already on the island in the lake. Maybe I am wrong.

Old and New

On my way to a subway station, I passed by the domed church. I liked the contrast in this picture between the new - the Prudential Building - and the old.

It has been hot and humid, so I haven't felt like walking around much. I hope to do some more once the weather cools down a bit!

Relaxing in the Park

It was such a lovely day. Not humid at all. I took a walk through the Boston Public Gardens, and sat down under the shade of the trees. Families were out, people were just reading, relaxing. A nice summer day!
