I went to an Asian restaurant recently. It had Chinese and Japanese food, but was owned by some Thai people.

The wall art was origami, framed in glass. It is quite a nice display, isn't it?

What are the animals in the frame?

recently : 最近
Thai : タイの、タイ人
frame in ~ : ~ （の枠）に入れる、はめる
crane : 鶴

下線部　It is quite a nice display, : とても良い装飾
　 →　quite は nice を強調している。"a" はquite の直後に来る。
　○　It's quite a nice display.　× It's a quite nice display.

such もquite と同様の使い方をし、同じく"a" はsuch の直後に来る。
　○　It's such a nice display. ×　It's a such nice display.

very, so, などの場合は、"a" は前に来る。
　○　It's a very nice display. 　×　It's very a nice display.

CORRECT! Cranes! I was surprised to see them on the wall. The decor of the restaurant was a mix of Japanese, Thai and American. Different.

Hi! I'm Piko and I used to live in Boston.
So I really enjoy your report on Boston.As for Asian restaurant, Is there still "Brown sugar", the Thai restaurant there?? It was my favorite restaurant! I lived on 833 Beacon street. Hope to see some pictures on Beacon St. Thank you

I don't know if Brown Sugar is still there. I will find out! I haven't done Beacon Street yet. So many places and things to do!
When did you live in Boston?

Long time ago!

Thanks for your reply. I lived in Boston from 1995 to 1996. I haven't been there for almost 10 years so it must have changed a lot there! I will visit Boston next year if my husband can take a vacation!

College Years

Hi Piko. Well, I was in college in another state during that time. Boston has changed a lot since then I think.
